Simple Dutch Apple Pie

Ingredients

 

  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • cinnamon, to taste (I use about 2T.)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter, plus
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions

  1. In a large bowl mix apples, 1C sugar, milk, cinnamon, 1T flour, 2T margarine/butter.2
  2. Pour into unbaked 9" pie shell.
  3. Make crumb topping by mixing 1/2C sugar, 1/3C margarine/butter and 3/4C flour.4
  4. Dab crumb topping over the top of the pie to form a crust.
  5. Bake at 450* F for 30-40 minute.
